Observation is the discipline of seeing before naming.
Before meaning.
Observation begins before explanation. A field may first appear overgrown. A lawn may appear neglected. A near-miss in traffic may feel like an injury. ObservaCulture begins by asking what is actually present before deciding what it means.
Questions
What am I actually observing?
What story did I immediately begin telling?
What else might be happening?
What might I be missing because I named it too quickly?
